OUR STOP MOTION :

Storyboard / Stop Motion

We were assigned another stop motion assignment, but this time it was about making a difference. . We decided to make our film about reducing your Carbon Footprint. Traveling by bike can reduce your carbon footprints and helps our planet reduce the amount of greenhouse gases. The hardest part of the project was putting the photos together on Movie Maker, because we couldn't upload it thus the stopmotion film shorter. The easiest part was picking the music for the film and taking the photos outside. It was a very enjoyable project and we liked it alot! :)

Actual Stop Motion

Vanessa's Macro Photography

Macro Photography

For this project we were assigned to try out macro photography without the actual use of a macro lense. Macro photography is zooming into an object really close. The most difficult part was trying to focus the camera to the object as best as possible, and trying to make sure the lighting was good. The easiest/fun part was trying to find something to take a picture of. It was satifying to see the picture after you took it, and it looks really professional.

Vanessa's magazine cover

For this project we were assigned to create a magazine cover, and to write about ourselves. This project was kinda of simple, but the hard part was trying to make it look like a realistic magazine cover. The easiest part was chosing the topics to wrtie and about. The fun part was making the title of an "article". Overall this was an enjoyable project to do and I think it turned out pretty good.

Vanessa's Movie Poster

In this project we were assigned to recreate a movie poster of our choice. I chose to recreate "The Incredibles" movie poster. It took me a long time to try to make it look as best as I could. The hardest part was making all the "explosions" in the background, and the "easiest" part was putting all the photos in and remaking the title and credits on the bottom. Even though it was really difficult it was still really fun to go through the process and learning different techniques to try to recreate the original poster.

Vanessa and Stefi's Stop Motion

Have you ever wondered what toys do when we are not around? Well then, now you know! Watch our fantastic stop motion about how friends gather around Mrs. MacFarlane Penner's corner and how they P A R T Y!

GCT MOVIE from Stefi Remonte on Vimeo.

The process of making this stop motion took up 3 class times, it took another 3 classes to edit the movie. The hardest part was trying to keep the camera steady especially when we did not have a tripod. It was also hard to recreate the scene we left off at and continued the next class. The fun part was picking out the music and making the credits! We learned that stop motion takes a long time to create because you need to take so many photos for a one minute video. The easiest part was making up the story line with the help of Ms. Magalhaes. Overall, it was a fun project to do and the outcome ended up pretty good! :)

Letters and Numbers

This is my GCT project of numbers (0-9), raw letters, and man made letters. This project was difficult at times to find something that really looked like the actual letter. Even though it was a challenge I found it satisfying when i finally got each letter and number.

Miniature Photography

Miniature Photography

I chose to do miniature photography. Miniature photography is taking a image and adding surreal elements, making the photo have unrealistic proportions. It's an effect or illusion. I like to think of miniature photography as another world beyond ours or seeing another living things prepective, like an ant. Blades of grass probably seems like a forest. You can really have fun and get really creative with these.

Andy Warhol Pop Art

For this project we were assigned to try to recreate Andy Warhol's famous pop art. Pop art is taking at least 4 or more images and manipulate all the different aspects of the photo. Changing all the colours make it more eye catching and interesting. It sometimes is challenging to make it look like the colours work together and to make the image and back round complement each other. All though it was a little challenging for me, I think it turned out almost perfect.
