Emily's Instagram Assignment

For the month of December (during the winter break) we were assigned an assignment. For this assignment, we were assigned to take pictures of all of the letters in the alphabet in both man made and raw made. Man made meaning we needed to find a letter that was made my hand, raw made meaning we needed to be creative and find something that look similar to a letter.

This winter break we had to do the alphabet challenge as an assignment. In this assignment we had to find natural letters that is around in our everyday life and man made letters too. I found it quite fun to do and an actually challenge to find all the letters especially "Q". I struggled with some letters but this assignment has made me look what is around me and see thing i would have just dismissed.

In this assignment we took pictures of manmade letters or letters that aren't supposed to be a letter but looks like one. We took pictures of things that we see in a daily basis that we don't really look at until we actually take our time.

Decembers Instagram assignment 
 For this assignment we were told to go around the school, our homes, and anywhere else and take pictures of either objects and or structure that would resemble a letter. A few things i liked about this project was that it opened up my mind a little bit more and see things for more than what they really are. not only did it teach me to look at things and resemble them to objects it also taught me to be more creative, which i think is going to help me when taking future photos. And although it was a challenge for certain letters, but all in all i think i enjoyed doing this assignment.

A B C D ..... now I know my ABC's won't you come and see them with me! Your next camera phone Instagram challenge is to find all the letters of the alphabet in nature.  You are not looking for them in signs or in books but naturally occurring in nature.

Please post your photos to Instagram.  You can do one a day or all in one day.... Keep track of the letters you have taken. You may have more than example of each letter.  At the end of the project (January) we will create a collage of what you have taken in Elements.

Due Date January 9
What is owed 26 or more letters naturally occurring in nature.

At Instagram please tag your photos with GCT16, nature letter A, nature letter B etc 

For extra marks find the letters of the alphabet in different signs around the city or made up letters from everyday items.  Variety of colour in your background makes this interesting.
