Stop motion By: Ryan, Vanessa and Stefi

OUR STOP MOTION :

Storyboard / Stop Motion

We were assigned another stop motion assignment, but this time it was about making a difference. . We decided to make our film about reducing your Carbon Footprint. Traveling by bike can reduce your carbon footprints and helps our planet reduce the amount of greenhouse gases. The hardest part of the project was putting the photos together on Movie Maker, because we couldn't upload it thus the stopmotion film shorter. The easiest part was picking the music for the film and taking the photos outside. It was a very enjoyable project and we liked it alot! :)

MY SLIDE DECK:

For this photo assignment, we did macro photography. We used a magnify glass and a camera to take photos of everyday objects and making them appear larger than life. In my slide deck it will show you what macro photography is and how to take them without those expensive lenses!

Stefi's Magazine Cover

MY MAGAZINE COVER

For this assignment we were told to design our very own magazine cover. We learned how to design our own cover and not make it look like it was copied. I named my magazine FIRE because its in the middle of my first and last name, making it more unique. It was inspired by those fashion magazines like ELLE and Teen Vogue.

My Movie Poster

Original Poster:

My Remake:

For our movie poster assignment, I chose to do the movie ‘Despicable Me.’ The first thing I did was taking 26 photos of Reina (I used her photos for the minions), then I began to create my background. For my background I used the dropper tool to get the colours as close to the movie poster as possible, then I put the colours into gradient to make an ombre looking background. I used 2 different paintbrushes, one for the clouds and one for the stars. For the moon, I just used a paintbrush that I downloaded from the internet. After the background was complete, I took more photos, one for the school, I. Then I began editing the photos and placed them into the spots to make it look like the poster as close as possible. Overall, I had over 30 layers

The hardest part was editing all the photos, it was really hard to edit all the photos of Reina because it just took a long time and I had to cut out the background. The part that was most fun was playing around with the background and adding the clouds because I got to learn more about Photoshop while doing the project.

OMG I'M SO SORRY I FORGOT TO SAVE IT AS A PSD :(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((

GCT MOVIE from Stefi Remonte on Vimeo.

The process of making this stop motion took up 3 class times, it took another 3 classes to edit the movie. The hardest part was trying to keep the camera steady especially when we did not have a tripod. It was also hard to recreate the scene we left off at and continued the next class. The fun part was picking out the music and making the credits! We learned that stop motion takes a long time to create because you need to take so many photos for a one minute video. The easiest part was making up the story line with the help of Ms. Magalhaes. Overall, it was a fun project to do and the outcome ended up pretty good! :)

December Letters

This is my December Instagram Photo Challenge, I did Sign Letters (A-Z) and Man Made Letters (A-Z) Sometimes it was hard to find the sign letters but it was fun looking for the letters! Overall, it was a fun project to do over the break.

My Take:

For our first GCT project, we were assigned to recreate Andy Warhol's pop art by using Photoshop and one photo of ourselves and choosing a variety of colour to manipulate the image. Then we would make another three images to and manipulate the colours on it to make it look different from the other images. This project was very fun because it allowed us to play around on Photoshop and learn many features as well!
